for my WHFB army, Empire i am going the stock red and white colors...
i have started the white by going basecoat of lighter grey, then an even lighter grey then another even ighter grey that consits of codex grey and skull white then i paint white....but i can never seem to get the pure white paint on the model that i want, how do the do it???
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
White is a trickey one to do well, as a standard approach, you pretty much have it, the unfortunate thing is this does nto really give you a pure white, as yo udescribe it.
The trick to getting apur white is 2 things:
Fistly minimal shading - the less shading generally the brighter, more pure it will look, the second is defining different types of shading, lets take a robe tucked into a belt, only use the grey around the belt and at the top of the folds from the belt, in other recesses, whilst youcan shade, only use a very very light shade
Nearly forgot, third trick to pure white, use blue shading
