i would like to make a tomb king that is not dead, but i am not quite sure how to achieve this effect. any ideas how i could make a not undead tomb king?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a non-undead Tomb King a contradiction of sorts?
Anyways, you need to be more specific about what you want it to look like. Do you want him to look like a king, just a fleshy version of the existing Tomb Kings, or something different?
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.

Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.
look for miniatures that have bare arms, legs and whatever. remove all the symbols of teh old army from the parts (like chaos emblems). assemble into one mini, paint in the colors of your tomb king army, and voila youve got something living
you could, if youre really haxx0r, add flesh to a genuine tomb king miniature with green stuff.
you could look for miniatures outside GW, and convert them slightly so they are legal in tournaments.
I'll go out on a wild goose chase here if you don't mind.
im actually want to make a vampire, and i want to make him look really ancient. so i thought a way to express his antiquity is by having him still sport his old lahmian suit.
thats a mad idea, not quite sure what you mean by a not undead tomb king! but there are models out there of humans from that area of the warhammer world, for example the merchant from mordheim, or the Suliaman the Saracen Brettonian model- both strictly Araby rather than Khemri but im sure you could convert them to make them look more egyptianOriginally Posted by Harlequin

Do you intend to create a model of how the Tomb King would look when he was still alive? You should seek inspiration from old egyptian clothes and armour, maybe search around the web a while to see some replicas or pictures. I guess you should be looking for some kind of decorated warrior-pharaoh...
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
Necrarch Vampires look pretty damn ancient. Maybe try combining one with Tomb King gear...
hmmm a non-undead tomb king... try looking into getting the old "Light Wizzard" or something simmilar from Empires archives. He's ALIVE and has the whole eqyptian look to him. I think he'd work well for a non-undead tomb king ^_^
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
id start with setra then take a extremely thin strip of gs and cover his face and chest /abdomen in this. but you'll need to get it i tight. youre looking for a gaunt expression.
but try to avoid the vamp counts (they are mortal enemies (pun intended) after all) these have too much of an undead look about them where you're looking for a mostly alive version.
