Hi all, i've recently bought an Ork in Mega Armour but i dont know how to paint the Mega Armour. I'm colleting a goff clan if that helps.
I was thinking of just spraying it black and drybrushing it very lightly with boltgun or something.
Hey there Irishman,
Do you have a colour for your army? What I have found looks good on Ork armour can be if you drybrush it all with say boltgun (over a black undercoat), then paint a plate or section with a cohesive colour that you might run through the rest of your army and then paint chips in that with boltgun, or chainmail. Or a mix of the two.
Gives it a nice 'used' ork look.
Another idea could be to paint yellow/black 'warning' lines over a part and chip that with the same idea as above.
I have found the main thing to remember when doing the chips, is keep it random and don't overdo it.
Hope that helps!
I noticed you played Goffs. Arn't they the red ones? Or you could paint them in a screaming theme, like yellow and green. it fits Orks, you know, loud and proud.
Metal is easy with orks. Black undercoat followed by a drybrush of tin bitz and then boltgun metal. Wash this with black and then light drybrush of chainmail.
