What colour shud i undercoat khorne beserkers cos ive done sum with a white undercoad and theyre real bright. What wud u recomend
probly black i haven't done this but they look better this way
Black undercoat, paint scab red, highlight, paint metall tin bitz and higlight with brazen brass followed by very thin Shining Gold.
I've just undercoated my Berserkers and am trying to apply scab red but it appears to be just way too thin to go over the black nicely...
Am I missing something?
I I shod go blood red on black coating. Or dry brush/paint whit on the part where you want red. The result is that you have a colorful red but still have that dark shading look. Keep the white on the higher parts of the model.
One other way I use is to use white coating then paint red and wash them black/dark red
Got a whole army of them (from before they were impossible to control!)
thick drybrush of scab red
drydrush of red gore
drybrush of blood red
watered-down red ink
shining gold on some armor plates, followed by watered-down chestnut ink
chainmail on guns, axes and chains, followed by watered-down black ink
And presto, you have a squad of axe-wielding maniacs!!
Or you could use a spray can of Blood red paint over black primer. Then pick out some of the details with black and then use brass or gold where necessary.
It's quick and effective and you get an even coat of red all over the marine.
