Can any of you ork players tell me how to convert an ork battlewagon, the one from forge world is like $200
Well, I am not sure what you may have tried so far. I no longer play Orks, but when I was I did start work on a battlewagon. My basic design for my wagon was a WWII tank. I believe I chose one in 1/35 scale as is made a slightly larger base. This I then modified to forward mount the turrent without the cannon, and created a boxed cargo area(similar to a passenger transport on the back. From here you can mount a main weapon(I chose a Zzap Gun) and bolt on Big Shootas on the sides for your Boyz to man. I would post a picture of my design, but I sold it to a friend who is playing Orks currently as he wanted it. He is currently doing even more mods to finish it, as I wasn't totally done with it.
one of my friends converted an old land raider by cutting out the roof and putting orks and stuff insside it look amazing
A land raider would look cool, I was thinking of converting one in an orc looted. But isnt the frame of it a bit small for a battlewagon? Those things are huge.
yes but if it is smaller its harder to hit and you can use it in a more stealthy way
The thing is supposed to transport 20 armed orcs and mount many heavy weapons, if an opponent would try to field a land-raider-sized battlewagon, there is no way I would accept it. It would be like taking a bike frame to make a rhino...
If you read issue 273 of White Dwarf you can see in the battle report (Black templars vs. orks on p.94) there is a Land Raider made into a Battle Wagon, so the size should work fine.
use a land raider and glue random orky gits to it
ya aslong it has all the compnents it can be used
