On the UK warhammer site they have used some sort of Apoxie mix to cover a nurgle chaos tree. I was wondering where i would get that sort of stuff.

Its called green stuff. its a two part epoxy that come in a strip you should be able to pick it up from your local roguetrader store or GW store.

I see what you meen my best bet is its just plaster?
It looks like plaster, or a really large amount of putty. Wolfraider, it is the pic of the chaos tree in last month's WD.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.

Apoxie Sculpt is a two part material that, once mixed together, has the consistency of clay. It hardens in air. It's very stable and works well when dry. You can get it in colors as well. Check www.avesstudio.com for more information.
Similar materials you could use are ready mixed light weight wall spackle, or plaster impregnated bandage wraps. Rail Road enthusiast use these for terrain building and you can get it in RR hobby shops. You could also use paper Mache but it would not be as hard.
