what is the best way to pain black legion. i was thinking to first edge the armor with bestiel brown, then paint the edges of the armour with brazen brass and finally highlight with shining gold.
DOWN WITH THE FALSE EMPEROR!!!MAY HIS GALAXY BURN!!!
Heya! I play black legion and this is how I paint mine:
I personally paint the topknot orange but thats just me
Hope this helps
First of all, I think Black Legion must be the most boring color scheme out there.
Why do you want bestial brown on the edges? If you meant to use it for as an basecoat for painting the gold/brass color then I understand.
When I'm painting brass, I usually start off with Tin Bitz, then a layer of Brazen Brass and then highlight it with shining gold.
As you already know, I don't like the BL color scheme, so what about adding a twist to it? As you might know, the BL are made up of many Warbands and other warriors so you could paint some of them to have red shoulder guards to show they are have an allegience to Khorne, or convert some of them a little so that they are a bit Nurglish or something like that.
I hope it works out for you.
Well, alot of people lack imagination with standard models, ignoring the simple converison that make the army cooool. i have a guy dual pistoling and sliding back and another guy with 2 swords going nuts, with blood dripping from the mask, i have a guy with a autocannon rest his hand on top, simple converisons give your 'boring army' a little change, plus alter the detail model to model! like different color tassels, they wouldn't BE ALL the same. you can alter the brightness of the gold, make it a little tarnish looking if you want with dry brush other but darker gold like metals.
