hey folks, so i just got back into the game after an extended break, and have come to the realization that every Space Marine whos anybody (since the release of 4th ed. anyways) has a sweet new drop pod. And why not, they have everything, speed, flexability, big guns, and raw style. So my question to you is, wtf do do here? how do i make one and/or what are some ideas for substitutes, like maybe building one out of legos? anything that keeps me from using things like a cardboard box to represent a high tech drop pod.
you could try making one out of plasticard. or you could simply use something to represent one. keep you eye out at toy shops ect. you might find somthing of use there.

A little tip from a friend of mine.
He converted drop pods out of plastic flower pots.
He just took the black flower pot, the type with a hole in the bottom, added some sort of steering fins, added a storm bolter from the space marine vehicle acsessories, painted it in an appropriate colour with chapter insignia and voila...
This might sound very cheap... it is...but it looks great.
I'm not sure he's on this site, but I'll see if I can get him to post some pics at a local gaming club site.
lol post some pics when your done

My roommate had a CD spindle leftover from when he had bought a bunch of blank CDs. He took a whole bunch of GI Joe stuff he had laying around and glued it all together... once he gets around to painting it I'll throw up a picture or two.
