hi, i was going to doing a black and bone tyranid army and i was wonderring what the best way to do bone is. For the black im priming it black then inking it black, but i cannot figure out how to make a decent bone color! Help!
whats the point of priming black and the inking it black? id say you highlight that black with a gray+black mix. and for the scales, paint them brown, and then work up a bone colour with many thin layers of bleached bone and finish with white.
I'll go out on a wild goose chase here if you don't mind.
black ink makes it gossyer than primer
Well I do bone like this (or somthing like this):
1. White Coute
2. Then I use Bleached Bone
3. I wash the area with brown ink (I usely ad a little yellow to it)
4. I highlight with Bubonic brown, then Blenched Bone.
5. Maby some more highlights, Blenched Bone and skull white.
the studo tyranid red and bone army was sprayed bubonic brown then inked with flesh wash then highlighted with bleached bone then white. for the black just gloss it, no need for highlights! easy
