Ok I bought this gothic building from a company called, crusader29?
It looks kool on the box, I open it up, its shoodily made(at best). None of the dges are clean, some of the windows are almost completely filled in with resin. Theres no roof or floors included(for a 3 story building)
And to make things worse, I cant figure out how to stick this thing together. I tried crazy glue, that didnt work AT ALL. So, any advice before I go mix some friken cement or something up?
He's coming for you...
Bummer. What sort of kit is it? I'm guessing some sort of factory/office complex but is it a ruin or what?
You should be able to cut away parts of the stray resin as long as it's not too thick. You can file the excess flash. A dremel or similar might be handy if you're planning to make a lot of scenery and it would certainly help here.
You can make floors from plasti-card. You might even be able to find textured card that matches. Either mount pins to hold the floor in place or carefully glue it. You should be able to glue it together with PVA- give the pieces a clean first to get off any casting residue. One good trick with scenery is to put on PVA and then add drops of superglue- this makes really solid joins.
Good luck with it.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
go with these people in the future i guarentee their quality. and their prices ARE what they advertise.
ive used them about 5 times and done large orders £150.00 plus (now what would you get from forge-world for that?)
the 3-story building that you bought, i take it was bought 'as is'
or too put it another way was there a description/picture of all the items that you'd get or was it just the painted pic that you got?
if there was no description then they could send you pretty much anything they wanted but if there was then send the thing back and ask for a refund. or the remainder of the parts.
if they come back with a f**k off then hit them with the 'trade description act'
you should be able to find out what you need in there.
IF YOU BUY SOMETHING ONLINE;
A) MAKE SURE WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
IF IT COMES AND DOESN'T MEET THE DESCRIPTION KICK UP HOLY HELL WITH THEM
AS A COMSUMER YOU HAVE RIGHTS AND PEOPLE ONLY GET AWAY WITH THIS NONSENSE CAUSE PEOPLE DON'T COMPLAIN.
but like i said the above company is excelent both in quality and in prices and you won't have a problem with them.
hope this helps
