After looking and drooling at the forgeworld Chaos mammoth(something I'll never have) I wanted to know what are the dimensions of it it came to me that I might beable to find a suitable model or toy elephant or mammoth and make my own
can anyone help me out on this
precicely no but ive held one so
about 6'' wide 10'' long 7'' high
now please forgive but this was from memory (the only guy i know who has one is out in jordan right now)
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
And by any chance would you or anyone know the dimensions of the howdah would you
Why not use the Mumakil from LotR as a base for it?
because I want to build it myself
Yeah, but you can still use it as a base for the build. It would be plain hell to sculpt the model yourself.
I get what you saying its been a long afternoon, I plan on finding a mammoth model or toy as close to the dimension as possible and using that.
Even the oliphant is a bit out of price range
Yeah, it's really expensive (like a battalion I think...).
Well, I wish you good luck. Let us know how it works out.
I'll do my best to keep every one updated
Well At Toys R Us today (I have have kids I'm allowed to go there again :w00t: ) I managed find and buy an eliphant that seems to be pretty closes in scale are the chaos mammoth I hope to take some pictures of it with a mini next to it to show its size.
With some GS and other conversion work I think this will make a good chaos mammoth.
BTW what would be good dimensions for the howdah?
I shall not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will allow it to pass over and through me. And when the fear has passed I will turn the inner eye to see its path. There will be nothing. Only I will remain.
