I was in Petco (a local super pet store) with my girlfriend the other night looking for some food and christmas stuff for our cat and fish (im sure youre wondering how we keep the cat from eating the fish, she doesnt really want to eat them i guess, she just sits and watches them). While I was in the fish department I saw some aquarium decorations of ruined cities like colums and arenas and other ancient ruined buildings. I bought two ruined columns to test with my Space Marines and to my suprise, theyre perfect for 40k!:w00t:. The aquarium fake plants make great jungle trees too. Plus theyre really affordable. So if you are like me and short on the cash but not on terrain ideas, check out your local pet store.
Yeah I've seen pretty much the same thing at a Pet's mart (local pet store), the columns and stuff are about the same scale. Also there plants are great for making jungle terrain.
If you would like to make a really quick believable building formation grab some old encyclopedias and stack them as high as you want. This is a very fast yet effective way to make buildings.
