hey folks, heres an easy way to build a battle worn statue. first take an inquisitor model , then get a flower bowl, the small shallow kind , the stick the bowl and staue on your foamboard base and break it! lol thats the fun part. then glue all the shards together. add some rubble, and to get that iron look use codex grey dry brushed followed by a torquise ink mixed with a little burnished gold. and poof, insta cool battle worn statue! maybe you guys have some ideas for some cool looking statue's or altars to your evil gods! post em here and share the wealth!
I think three was something on making withered statues in White Dwarf one time during the last two years.
I don't know how they did the effect now, but they did make an effect very close to the green roofs you see on churches.
Ofcourse the brass effect was still there only the deep cracks were "green" with corrosion.
I'll see if I can add the method later...
Slayero is this the technique your thinking off? you undercoat black, base coat jade green then dry brush tin bitz and then brazen brass allowing the green to come through in same places for corrosion.
Wir Werden Vorherrschen!
