I was reading an article on the GW website about inking, they suggested mixing various things with the inks such as dish washing liquid. Sounds interesting, does anyone here mix inks with anything besides water for different things? If so are the effects noticeable/worth it?
yeah, i mix my inks with dish washing liquid. it breaks the surface tension on the water, so it uniformaly stains the surface. instead of patchy blotchy inks...
I mix my inks and paints for that matter with a mixture of water, paint extender, and future floor wax. It seems to work well for me.

I just use them as is, and wipe off the top lot to leave it in the cracks. Only time it looks blotchy is when I brown ink Orc weapons, and who cares? Looks even rustier!
