I got a few of my models done. I really like this orange color scheme for my bugs. More pics are in the gallery.

It's a wee bright for my tastes, but I can see nothing wrong with your painting techniques or skill. Solidly done.

I was going for a bright scheme but didn't want to get too "cartoonish".

Those models woulden't even go near "cartoonish"
They simply look great!
The way the stark colour stands out is just marvellous. Especially good work on the talons on the guy in front.

Continue the good work these just look great!

Wow, those look good. Nice contrast of black and orange.

Good stuff!!

Me and my girlfriend went to an aquarium place the other weekend looking for huge mammoth fishtanks, i spotted these little kinda prawn like critters in one of the tanks... i can't think of any other thing other than 'prawn' to describe them, they're like. oh wait, let me find it...

*trundles off to google*

a cleaner shrimp is the closest thing i can find... (if you seen finding nemo, c'mon... admit it... then that little french thing that cleans stuff in the fish tank ) ... these little ones where red and black, looked really striking. the first thing i thought of was a tyranid paint scheme, you've captured the same kinda look!

very nice looking!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I think the contrast between the two colors is what originally made me lean towards this color combination. I am thinking that I will finish the bases by leaving the edges of them black and putting green grass on the surface. I think the green on the base will go nicely with the rest.
