Hey guys, i'm working on a Defiler for my deathguard army, and i've realized that the defiler really doesnt seem very nurgly. Also, the defiler model is too tall to fit into my tacklebox (i'm currently stripping the khornate paint job off of it).
Two questions come to mind, 1) is there a stipulation on differing sizes in GW tournaments?
2) here's the plan for the conversion, something that sort of looks like a cross between an arachnotron/spider mastermind and a mancubus from doom and doom 2. The 4 smaller defiler legs will be connected to a square-ish platform the reaper autocannon will be imbedded into the front of the platform, and on top of the platform will be an ogre bull torso greenstuffed to look like a daemon, with a battlecannon emerging from the belly and flamers where both of his hands should be.
The problem is: i don't know what i should use for that platform, i don't want to connect it to what the original defiler had because it looks too darn big for the ogre torso. i have no plasticard and cannot readily get some, and i'd rather not give up my ogre bases (at least not until i can acquire some more). So, does anyone know of a bit that i can use for that square-ish or round-ish platform?
The only rule for size I can think of right now is that bases can't be smaller than what they are supplied with. Since the defiler doesn't have a base it's a bit trickier. My advice is to keep it basically the same size anyway, that way you will get the least amount of trouble
heh, the reason i want to make the thing smaller is because i want to be able to transport it relatively safely, the current model is too big for my tacklebox, it may be just simple enough for me to take out some of the spacers (between the upper torso and the legs, and the head), hopefully that will be enough. It still doesn't quite seem nurgly enough though.
