Here are the WIP shots of my Rune Priest. he's had about 1 and a half hours spent on him so far. thats been spent on the basing shading of the armour, and the Frost axe.
This mini is my favourite sculpt in the warhammer 40k range. its just *dreamy*
I hope to excel my own painting abilities by pushing myself on this one.
in particular i need to practise my flesh tones.
Very nice work I think everyone likes the model!
well done on the blending, could use painted army badges and detailing here and there.

The Axe blade look nice, it will be interesting to see how it match the rest of the miniature. Maybe I shod have put a little highlight where the sharp area starts. Hmmm hope you understand what I mean.

Looking good so far bonjordo. The axe looks great! The armour looks pretty good but maybe as AndEng already said give it some sharp highlights on corners and such.
Looking good cant wait to see more!
Looks like it have great potenial.
Looking forward to an update!
Ok, ive bascoated the leathers, done the axe grip (it needs to be highlighted) And a teeny amount of gold. The flesh has also been basecoated, and ive done the bone shading up to bleached bone, it needs to be glazed and highlighted now....
The armour is a loooong way from finished . However, ive really enjoyed painting it so far.
The first thing I thought when i saw the new pics was, "You can really tell he's taking care to really give this mini a killer paintjob". It shows that you're enjoying it and really getting into the "Zen" type of experience that comes with slow-painting a model.Originally Posted by bonjordo
Great work and keep the updates coming, my man. Have some rep.
Thanks undead. I'd love to keep on pushing my abilities further and futher. And the more i paint, the better i'll get. and i enjoy painting, so its a fantastic bonus.
I Have trouble with flesh however. My mind breaks away from the fact taht its just another surface which needs shading, so i will remind myself that its just like a cloak or something else.
Flesh is really hard to paint so I think you should not worry to much about it
