I can't decide how I want to paint my Kroot that I'm starting. I'm thinking Blood Red with a Red Ink wash for the majority of the skin. What do you all think / suggest?
Id' recommend a similar colour to however you're painting your fire-warriors, to tie them to the army, but with a more natural, organic shade. Try mixing the main army colour with a dark or medium brown (graveyard or scorched maybe?) for the base colour and lighten for shading. Or a completely different colour and link them to the fire warriors by painting their spines the same colour as the fire warriors armour.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
I couldnt agree more... Keeping their skin Earth tone colours help keep the natural appearance, and their spinal colours matching the base colour of your army, to signify ownership.
