The absolute best is Testors Dull Cote, without question. Even gives a nice dull finish over gloss coats.

Second best on a buget is Plaid Clear Acrylic Sealer, matte.

One of the few things that Testors will be known for, though I also like their gloss clear coat and a few other items in their product line.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?

An Arts & Crafts shop *might* carry it, though I'd go to a dedicated hobbyists' shop if I wanted to be sure of finding it. It's a good sign if the shop carries a lot of non-gaming plastic modelling kits.

When I lived in England I used Humbrol Spray matt varnish without problems. Give it a try. Runs about two pound seventy to three. A quick search should locate some vendors in your area.
