how do you paint the eyes of a space marine without making a mess of their face
there is no easy way to paint 'em. it comes with experience all i can suggest is a small brush, a self standing magnifying glass(if possible), open eyes(always help), aim for there eyes. good luck!
Either that, or base coat white, then try and keep your brushing away from the eyes, once you're all done the model, just give 'em little dots, and that should be it.

Possibly thinning down the paint well enough, that if it dose get out, it could easliy be touched up. The only thing is, that it will take many coats to fully cover the eye, but you wanted a neat way, not a fast way.
