i'm getting to the point where i've nearly finished painting my confrontation wolfen. the problem is that i've got to be really careful about touching them because the paint seems to chip off so easily; what i need is some sort of finish for them.
i'm hoping someone can suggest a matt paint-on finish for the skin and something glossy for the weapons and other metally bits that would be available in the uk.
if anyones got any experience with this can they help me out.
Most people don't like the glossy look, but it can be good if used in the correct places. For best protection, spray on gloss varnish and then matte. Then maybe use some paint-on gloss varnish for the things you want to be glossy.
this glossy finish you speak of.... is that what makes some tyranids look wet..or slimmy or whatever (aside from the actually model its self looking slimmy)? The shinny wet look.
