hi im paintin a sword bretheren 4 da black templars and i was wonderin how u highlight their cloaks. so far ive just painted t hem bleachd bone.
i'd like to know that aswell, sorry i cant help you though
I would do a bestial brown coat, then highlight with vermin brown, and then do bleached bone. Then I would take some watered down brown ink and put it in the recesses.
I do a lot of painting with bleached bone. What I find works is to first was the area with watered down brown ink (just to darken the color a bit). Then highlight with bleached bone again, up to skull white. This works for me quite nicely.
Marion: You're not the man I knew ten years ago.
Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
For the last time, there are
NO FEMALE SPACE MARINES!!!!!
I like the suggestion in the link above about using vallejo model color ivory as a highlight to the bone. I would start with a light brown base as well and work up through the ivory - reserving the white for only the lightest of highlight areas. This should give you a nice warm feel to it.
