    [PICS] My first IG squad!

    Hey all,

Here's some pics of my brand spankin' new squad I (almost) finished. I'm currently working on the heavy weapon but it wouldn't have fit in the picture anyway, so here's my first IG squad sans Lascannon.

    Enjoy!

    First, just the guardsmen:

And the sarge gets them pumped up!

Beautiful. If you use a plasma pistol head for the plasma gun it might work better. I think its smaller.

Anyway the models are beautiful as usual. We expect more of the same

Nice work, you got some unique feel on your Cadians. How long did this squad take to paint? I noticed no NMM on them, what an disapointment  . No seriously, I understand that you didn't do that on them .

awesome, you know, you really should be a 'eavy metal painter. That aside, how are you going to paint a whole IG army in that quality? thats really dedication IMHO .

I'm not hunkered down painting my ass off on these guys, which is a nice change of pace. These eight guys took me about 10 days. I can chill out when I get home from work and paint up 1 guy a night which is just fine with me! The average guardsman takes me about 3.5 hours & the special weapon and sergeant take a little longer because of the extra detail. The Heavy Weapon I'm starting tomorrow, so I have no idea how long that'll be, but I expect around 7-8 hours as it's 2 guys and a big freakin' gun.

Brilliant buddy. The best Cadians I have seen! But you know what I think about them so I won't say any more. Hehe...

Truly awesome work! They really pop! How do you get them done so quick? It seems like they have tons of shading and highlighting.

    Top notch, really!

Heh, then we are kind of equal on painting-time spend on each model.
What army size will you begin with? I guess you are taking it slow to get all of them painted.
Will be intresting to see if you do a tank in the future (which I hope, an IG army is not a 'true' IG army without a tank).

do a few sentinels, and keep each of the painting times under 20 hours, ill be impressed. really good job. i think you have bested most on the forum at painting.
