As this is my first post on this site i would like to say greatings and that its nice to be in the company of such fine fellows, ok heres the question does any one have some ideas about converting imperial knights i got the plastic box set and the modles just dont fit into my army, i want my models to look gritty and mean, these knights belong on a parade square not the battle field (all those ribbons add feathers bah!!)i want to create a unit that looks like its been in the field and on the march for weeks so the are carying the bare minimum kit and sporting a few scars, also i would like the unit to feel more like a group of mercenary cavilry than state troops if you have any ideas i would love to hear.

Brettonians, chaos knights with all symbols filed down, or a mix of bretonian and marauder horsemen bits will work.

Chip and clip, make damage on the armour, remove the ribbons and give them a gritty and muddy paint job. Wounds on the horses and maybe bandages of green stuff? The possibilities are endless when it comes to dirt and grit!
