I've taken to modularizing my larger figures using rare-earth magnets. I've done carnifex so far, and wanted to do my warriors as well, but realized the smallest magnets i can find are too big to fit in the "arm ball" of their weapons
So i'm starting to wonder how else i could do this. The obvious first answer is to sticky tack them on, but that would a) look fairly ugly, since the gaps would be huge and b) be fairly fragile on the tabletop. Nothing like a warrior's venom cannon falling off half way through (and that brings up the question of how that would work w.r.t. wysiwyg rules)
So i'm appealing to those much more experienced, and hopefully just as cheap as me
I used plastic and rubber ball-and-sockets for all my larger models. It's a bit of work but in the end you get a figure that is modular, posable, and doesn't look like it just has something plopped on. These are links to my Hive Tyrant; I'll eventually put up pictures of my Carnifexae, Dreadnaught, Tanks, and may be one of the warriors I did it to.
