I don't know if this is enough of a conversion to call it a true conversion but here's the result. I wanted a BT that appeared to be taking his oath. Just became a full fledge BT not a Neo anymore. I dug the Iron Halo so I dub him Nicolos Carafa Receiver of the Iron Halo....
Took me 3 swords to get he sword right, 5 if you count the errors. Too much glue as well. But over all I dig it....I'll post more as I paint'em. Still needs the should pads too.
As decreased by the Lord Marshall Jean de la Cassiere of the Forward Commandry of the Knights Black Templars and Order of the Holy Temple of Terra, we confirm upon you Nicolos Carafa, most revered and decorated Initiate, the Knights Black Templar Iron Halo.
Is he holding the Holy Hand Grnade?
(From Mony Python) Great job.
It's been a minute.
Sometimes the small things are better than the huge conversions. I think this looks pretty damn cool myself. Good job

Now we sit in Hall of Gods
yeha this is cool nice job man
Nice mate. A conversion doesn't have to be fancier than that. You changed the model to get the look you wanted. Smart enough to do it smoothly without needing greenstuff. Well done.
Beware the Agapanthers!
Codex Astartes: More a guideline than a rule...
That looks plain awesome
If I had him, I'd paint him up with a huge emphasis on making him stand out (rather than him having the standard assembly line paint job assigned to troops) and give him a cape. A heavy, bunched-at-the-shoulders ceremonial cape would be perfect, as the pose seems to be capturing the moment of his glorious ascendance to SM-hood.
How did you do the kneeling pose, and what is that plate-looking things under his left leg? Is this just from a Space Marines model I'm not aware of?

The legs came with the SM Battle Group Box Set.
I used the Holy Hand Grenade cuz it looks like a regal orb, or whatever they're called. The orb thingie kings and queens hold during the coronation(sp).
I plan on making this guy be one of the show pieces of my BT army.
The best conversions are the small subtle ones, so I like this a lot!
I reckon it would make a pretty decent champion, he's got the sword and helmet after all
Yes. The Holy Orb of Antioch. Can be carried by models with acces to the armoury and can be thrown and blow stuff once per game.Originally Posted by Pancakes
A real nice conversion as well. Great job.
