    Cheap forest terrain

I'm a tau player and I'm thinking of modeling some wooded area terrain for my kroot, although I have never made terrain before.

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on cheap ways to make decent looking forests. Thanks for any help.

Ask yourself why in the world would you trust a win loss record? Playing them yourself is the only way to tell.

The true joy in the game is playing down to the last model, no matter the odds.

Once again I cannot strain the fact enough:

Please try to make use of the search function before adding a new topic...
I have seen the same topic dozens of times the last year.

Please refrain from doing so in the future.

At our club we just took a piece of cardboard (not to thick and not to thin), flocked the entire thing with GW flock and PVA glue and then got some cheap trees for model-railways and added them. The only thing that took a while was the waiting for the PVA to dry.
2-3 trees on the larger pieces and 1-2 on the smaller.Put them close to eachother and say that the entire are within also counts as forrest.

Dude, ease up man. The fake flowers idea is actually a good way to make forests. It's not a joke, and even if it was, who cares? A little levety never hurt anyone, particularly on an internet forum.

    Peace,

Sorry about that, I was at work, and at that point it seemed like some crazy idea that someone cooked up in the drunk, sorry!! My bad...

Anyway, I have seen forests made with just fake flowers, not to complain too much I must say that if you are out to get a general feel of a piece of forest then this will do the trick, but it doesn't neccesarily look too good...
    Anyway.....

Personally I never use use GW trees, they simply don't look realistic enough, or rather they generally don't look varied enough..... and besides..... they are expencive...

I always go for modelrailroad trees:

They come in many different sizes
They come in many different shapes and types
They are easier to work with

But most importantly...... they are CHEAPER!

Once again, sorry about that previous blowout of mine... I was at the end of an already too short lunch, and I was just slightly stressed..... SORRY!!!!
