    Workin' on some Furies

The most recent addition to my Slaaneshi force is 5 furies which I'm in the middle of painting. I tried to post some pics of the half-done daemons, but my camera is being horribly insolent.

The actual skin of the furies is liche purple, highlighted up to pink. The fur on their backs and around the wings is a shadow grey/spacewolves grey drybrush, and their faces are painted to look as though they are wearing bone masks.

I can't decide what colors to paint the membranes of the wings though. These are Slaaneshi daemons, and so I want them to look pretty gawdish and loud. Any ideas of what would compliment the purple bodies?

Well, you don't want to be introducing new colours to the palette, or they will start looking too circus'ish. I would consider the same purple you used to start the skin with, but shade it up with bleached bone, so you will get a cooler shade of pinkish at the end, yet still linked to the rest of the skin. Remember, the membranes are just skin really.

Well I went with a mix of purple and brown, highlighted up with bleached bone, and then a bit of a drybrush finish. Here's the test result:

Nicely done mate, the wings look like they are part of the same creature, yet are distinctive enough to show they are not like the rest of the thing.
