Hey I was hoping for some advice on a conversion idea. I wanted to take the Dark Angle librarian Ezekiel and mount him on a bike. I was thinking of cutting the engine and part of the seat off the bike so he could stand unaltered on the bike and look like he is sitting or standing but in the proper place on the bike. Or I could cut his torso off and stick it on biker legs and make robes of green stuff. I also want to melt part of his face off with a soldering iron so that I can sculpt a helmet/mask under his hood. So I was hoping primarily for advice on what to peruse: cutting Ezekiel or cutting the bike. If I bisect Ezekiel any advice cutting pewter would be appreciated. Also does anyone have any experience soldering pewter models? I have used irons before in electronics and to repair jewelry so I am pretty confidant it can be done, but I also don’t want to melt the model beyond recognition. Hopefully any screw-ups can be patched with greenstuff. Thanks

Hmm. As a dark angels player, i know how difficult their conversions would be. Think of it practically, none of the Ravenwing wear robes. This is probably because they are cumbersome, and slow the bike down. I would imagine, that for the purposes of riding a bike, Ezikiel would ditch his robes and don a helmet.
However if you are sure thats what you want, I would suggest cutting Ezekiel down to the waist, the attatch him to normal legs. Then a few blobs of easy green stuff later, you have a robe. This is the only way I can think of sorry. The face Idea would work though, but be veeeery careful with the soldering iron. That metal conducts brilliantly, and you may end up melting more than you want. To cut him in half, use a razor saw. These are dead cheap and do a neat job too.
Argh! I've seen this exact conversion on the GW site, with a familiar peering over the handlebars....
I can't find the link for the life of me though.
A drill? Thats interesting I will give it a try, it sounds more forgiving. Thanks
Given the amount of work you want to do, it would not be efficient to use Ezekiel at all, just bitz-ordering his sword and using a torso from one of the metal DA bodies. This way you'll avoid having to cut through this metal piece.
Matching arms can be taken from plastic Chaos Space Marine sprue.
