Alright. The Sword Bretheren models are really spiffy and all, but for modeling purposes they lacked flexability, having only bolt pistols and CC weapons. While normally I wouldnt complain about this, I planned on having one of my SB squads outfitted with bolters and shooty special weapons. So my questions are
1. Is there a way to graft nifty looking bolter arms on to these models?
2. Barring that, what other models would fit the job description? So far Im thinking the DA vets would look nice.
One question. Why would you give them shooty special weapons? The da models would work best with some bt shoulderpads and greenstuff work.
Erik Moraki's Great Company 16/4/7
Borgut "SBD" GreatStrider's Ogres 6/1/2
An'Gorath's World Eaters 3/0/2
Sigurd GreatFang's Wulfen Host 7/4/3
I've read up on some tactica and people have told me abould using SB as an infiltrating "tactical" shooty squad. Apparently its worked very well for them. Of course I'll have to proxy test the idea out first before I commit to converting any models, but even then I might try it just to see if I can.
Hav eyou thought about combining boltpistols and ccweapons?
Kind of making all ccqweapons onto twohanded weapons with bolters attached to them?
In the good old days of the late Dark Ages they had partian rapiers, sword with built in guns...
How about taking that idea a little bit further?
