    CSM Chosen / Lord WIP

Here's some of my Chosen that I'm in the process of conveting, so that they look a little more then the basic marine. The leg extentions are to represent Deamonic Speed. It's a 6 man Squad, all a little diffrent, I can post WIP pics of the other 4 if anyone is interested.

While I was at it, I had a go at making a new Chaos lord ( like I really need another HQ choice) using the same style, but a bit more... er.. pointy. He's the one thats going to be entered into the Might and Magic painting contest, If I get it done in time. Obviously they've got quite a bit of greenstuff work that still needs to be finished up, But what do you think?

Yeah the legs look kinda weird and that head for the dp makes it less scary but otherwise good converts.

They need to be beefed up a little I think. The idea was to get it looking as close to the daemon prince models legs, or failing that, Obliderators. If you think they look funny now, you should have seen them wen it was just bits of paperclip in the gaps.

HAHAHA! Now THAT would be funny!

I thought they looked kinda weird at first but then I kinda liked their long legs. you´ll need to smooth out the GS though and finish filling in the gap on the first posessed. If you´re kinda slick with the GS you could easily make it look like the armor stops kinda high on the legs and low on the legs and have a texture in between that looks like muscle tissue, like they have a lot on the tyranid models but instead of the texture being horizontal ----- make it vertical llllllll. Well it´s just a thought, a fun project though and not too hard.

I like the lord´s pose but he´s still far from a daemon prince. Beef him out a little bit and do some detail work on him like for example sculpt hooves on him or something ...a tophat is also a good indication of status

Hey and please post some pictures of the other guys. I´d love to see them
What is better than winning the gold medal in the "Servitor olympics"?

    not being a servitor

LOL sorry man but the legs look a little rediculous. I suggest using Assault marine legs or the Khorne Berzerker legs if you what the jumping looking. Perhaps just a little glue to fill the legs' gaps up. Actually he is a DP Lightening, he just probably doesn't have stature, that is the leg may just represent Daemonic speed, which if thats what you meant Dae, thats the best representation I've seen, perhaps a flowing cloak could be added. I like the pose BTW, its original.

Yes, the legs are to represent Daemonic speed. On the lord, and on the Chosen. it's not stature, the models only stand about a head higher in comparison, I'll post the rest of the squad as well as a normal marine for comparison when I get some time later.

Yes, it's just after the first coat of GS, more work definatly needs to be done.

Heh awesome conversions you got there ~

though only modeling restriction is that if that dude is a Daemon prince, he'd need a 40mm base, but if he is just a Daemon lord.. then hes fine?

    The restriction is if he has daemonic stature, he must be on a 40mm base. Daemon princedom can come in two diffrent ways;
    1. The model has Daemonic Stature
    2. The model has 51 or more points of daemonic gifts.

He's a prince, based on the second requirement.

NOOOOO, DO NOT CHANGE THE LEGS. CAN'T YOU SEE THAT THEY ARE CHAOS, THUS SUPPOSED TO LOOK ALL DEFORMED. I personally think that the leg extensions add a very creepy element to your BEAUTIFULLY converted models. Good luck painting.
