I need a Librarian with jetpacks to join the ranks of my future coming Blood Angles army.
My ideas is to use the Space Marine Commander as the main torso, having some nice decorations and a flashy cape to trail behind him.
For Psychic hood, I'd carve out a shoulder pad like this librarian:
For force weapon I have a such useless tigurius mode laying around,
I'll just snip it off and take off the power sword arm to make the left hand. And flatten out all the Ultramarine symbols.
Jetpacks will snuggly fit onto the back.
Shoulder Pads I was thinking of having just one special shoulder pad, what kind I don't know yet, then a standard shoulder pad which would have the Blood Angels Ingsignia on it to identify the Librarian as part of Blood Angels.
Though I am not sure what else to add onto my Librarian. I have extra commander accessories and purity seals to add, and what not... any ideas?
I'll get pics in a bit later, if i have time.... but mostly looking for suggestions on what items make a Librarian... a Librarian =D

Books, books will be needed. You cannot claim to be a librarian if you do not have at least one book.
Other than that I think you got what is needed, I wish only to see some WiPs as this seems to be an interesting project.
May I suggest you use a Raptor jetpack? They are quite arcane and worthy IMO.
I will take a book from that set, seeing how I have that bitz as a spare, and now I have a free chaplain helmet... (heh I could actually make this guy a chaplain instead.. if i wanted to, seeing how the force staff could pass on for a croz.
Anyways I have the book and will attach it to the side of the librarian.
As for raptors jetpack, I'll be ordering one from GW to see how it looks heh.
Also, do you think it would be wrong Fluff/Modeling wise if I had a chaplain/Skull Marine head on a Librarian? Just a thought.

Hmmm...I'm not a strict person when it comes to fluff, my Thousand Sons can be seen as an example of this, so I would not have anything against it. I think the skullhead is awsome and it would look really good. But I know there are some people out there who would claim that this specific helmet is like Chaplains Only, I don't know any of them though... Why not make the model and use it as both? Librarian when you need one and Chaplain at other times? Also, do you think it would be wrong Fluff/Modeling wise if I had a chaplain/Skull Marine head on a Librarian? Just a thought
Again I must say-It would look good, and to me that's all that matters:yes: ...no, it's not, but it's a nice bonus.
Edit: Oh, and what book is that? It looks really good.
Jumppack librarium is a cool idea. Skull face might be unfluffy but as long as the model cool I wouldn't mind. Perhaps have a book daggling from his neck? or from his staff? As for Raptor pack, I wouldn't. But thats me. Perhaps purity seals on the pack, make it look less menacing.

I am liking the idea Murekhalir, it should be cool. I am doing something similar, but he is based on chaplain Cassius.

wow that is a great way to make plastic librarian psychic hoods.
after the book and the jet pack.....you may want to use assault marine feet and a flying base stick (the gun drone ones from tau work nicely) to make your librarian seem as it is flying on the base. It makes it stand out more on the field.
if you are really good (don;t know yet since I haven;t seen your models yet).... model a very vague psychic power using greenstuff that could represent the majority of the shooty powers. (storm of E's wrath, fury of ancients)
or make some psychic fire greenstuff swirling around the model to show the other powers that don't require shooting stuffing. (fear of darkness or might of heros)

Hmm If I want it to stick out, I think i'll make him standing about cork base with cracks and lave underneath like a fissure =D Then put him on a 40mm base with a familiar model right behind him carrying a book, though that is not my plan originally.. not sure if I can wait to get all the materials to do that though~ (Might just buy a 2nd SM commander box and do it =D) As for flying base... it would make him stick out.. but I dont know if I exactly want to make him flying up that high hehe.Originally Posted by Zephyr_the_AzureWind
As for modeling powers... ehh im not a greenstuff worker XD. I'm already using Assault Marine legs. I'll get pics on the current guy tommorow or something..
I used a Blood Angel Librarian for years and he was a holy horror. He killed at least 5 Hive-Tyrants and it would have been more but they started growing wings and running away. Good for many light enemies or 1 big bad enemy, he's worth having. Mine was never anything fancy (part of my first serious 40k army) but if you put the effort in he'll reward you on the table. Here's mine-
I went for a pretty dark blue- if you think about it a psychic, frenzied vampire is pretty sinister.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
that one look really cool. that dark blue let me think of The Soul Eaters.
