I've been painting some loyalists for once, they are for a friend of mine (Kristofer) and it feels kind of strange to paint models I will later kill, but it's still fine.
Now, I'm not the "cleanest" painter around but I thought I'd share this with you anyway.
There is still some cleaning up to do, like details and some paint that is where it should not be, but here goes....
Any comments are welcome.
BASE IT!!!
The cloth looks a little flat, and the brown is dull. Highlight the brown, and higlight and shade the cloth.
Besides that great work :w00t:

Just noticed, but is the left arm cut just below the shoulder to reposition it? It looks like it could do with a bit more GS if that is the case.
Great stuff, don't forget to show when he is finished  . My Scout Sergreant is coming soon...:ninja:
Beware the Agapanthers!
Codex Astartes: More a guideline than a rule...
That stubble effect is hard to do but you've handled it well- nice job.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
I like the green glow coming from the scope. (is that the proper name?)
Also great job on the face stubble.
Looks great. Post pics when it's finished.
Things go better with Petter

hehe... "not the cleanest painter
I like it, it looks good so far and it look quite clean if you ask me. Good colors. I’m not a big fan of the black under coat shining true the layers (I shod have used a white primer and maybe brown or dark red under the red shoulder plates). Still your result on the red is not bad.
Your "white" looks a bit think, I think its mainly because you have the black under coat. It is always hard to cover black with white...
Are you going to paint some dirt on him as well?
I’m looking forward to see him finished
Thanks for the input people,No worries, I will. But as stated it is Work in Progress, so very not finished.Originally Posted by SqueaksGood point, you know how blind one becomes after a while, not seeing what's right in front of you.Originally Posted by RoVThanks guys, I like it myself. Thin layers and drybrush.StubbleMost certainly, though they may leave their battle barge clean and tidy, those guys have been out in the thick of things for a while. I'll add some brown and maybe some green spots on the knees. A touch of blood on the arms might be appropriate too.Originally Posted by AndEngTHis is a bit trickier as it is supposed to be a bit dull and worn, I'll try to add just a touch of some bright leathery colour to it and emphasise the corners a bit, but I don't want it new and shiny.the leather does look dull
