Can any of you guys exactly tell me what a conversion is I'm not so sure what they are and how you do them.
Basicaly a conversion is anything you do to a miniature, vehicle, etc that makes it look different from when it came out of the package.
Anything from switching heads to sculpting whole new torso's, hair etc..
For instance, I use a lot of the Mordhein heads on my plastic Catachan minis. It just gives them a different look and feel.
Its best to start off small, like switching heads around, and work your way up to the more difficult conversions.
Practice on some minis you really dont care about. There's nothing like buying a high dollar mini and really screwing it up.
"Every day above ground is a good day"
yup, doc put it down quite good, its ebst to start with easy conversions like part swaps on plastic minis and slowly build your way up to the more complicated stuff like resculpting whole parts of minis.
APPARENTLY YOU MUST BE A NEWBEE. A CONVERSION IS SIMPLY WHEN YOU ADD OR REMOVE SOMETHNG TO A MODEL TO ADD TO ITS EQUIPTMENT (LIKE A GUN OR WINGS OR AN EXTRA ARM). SO WHEN YOUEVER HERE SOMEONE SAY THAT THEY HAVE CONVERTED A MODEL THAT MEANS THAT THEY HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO IT.
NOW YOU WILL ALSO RUN INTO PEOPLE WHO WILL USE DIFFERENT MODELS FROM DIFFERENT GAMES AND SAY THAT IT IS THIS INSTEAD (LIKE A BOLLDTHIRSTER IS NOW A DAEMON PRINCE).
HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY
