Presenting my Work In Progress Orc Warband, for an upcoming Mordheim campaign. As you can see so far I've done my Big Boss, two Archers, 3 Orc Boyz and a Gobbo. Still left to do is a Shaman and 4 Goblins. Later I'll be picking up a Troll.
They are some of the best models I've painted, I think. Please comment! :w00t:
-Sorry about pic size-
Looks pretty good.
I like the rust on the goblin's sword. You should do that on the Orc's weapons and armor too. I'm not a fan of the light skin. I like it darker.
Things go better with Petter

I don't know why I made the Goblin's skin lighter, since fluff says it should be darker.
the orks look great. great job
Thanks. It's a shame that the new template puts ads in the way of part of the pic, though.
Its a good table-top quality but i would go in and add some black ink to the armor to make it look grimy and take away the shiny and also some dark green ink onto the skin followed by a drybrush of goblin green, it isnt that hard and t adds tons of depth to the model but not a bad job at all.
They are ok but from what I can see they lack shading and highlighting. The goblin in the bottom right corner comes to mind most of all here, there seems to be no shading or highlighting on them. Greenskins can be done vearious ways, the easiest perhaps is to give a green ink wash and then highlight up or alternatively to use say Dark Angels Green and build up from there going through the greens (snot, goblin etc).
The metals need to be dulled down, a black ink wash will do well enough. Also the leather looks to be lacking in defintion as well, I would have started with a darker brown base and highlighted up to snakebite leather.
If you do a bit more work then you should have a fine looking warband.
Thanks Kuff. I'll be sure to act on your tips and post the results.
