I was sitting here at my desk eating cheerios, and had this crazy idea... smash them and use them for stuff! So I smashed one between my fingers, and got a perfect little cluster of what could be (when painted appropriately, of course) debris or something... perfect for miniature bases.
Try it! =D
Gloria Imperator, The Firstborn Stand!
- 2000pts Inquisition, 2000pts Vostroyans, 3000pts Vampire Counts, 1400pts Daemons, [WIP] 2500pts Death Guard
Have you tried painting them yet? I don't really see what you wanted to do with this. By debris do you mean like flock on bases? Could you post some pics when your done?
Et imperator Invocato Diabolus Daemonica Exorcist!
Ummm... wouldn't they go bad and get full of bacteria or something?
And my dog would then probably try to eat my space marines!
Aye, using food for flock? o_O Ewww
Why don't you just use sand, or gravel?
ummm ive already had alot fo ant problems, i really dont want another....
I think if its foodstuff you want to use, Pasta is the deal. Its always used for kids projects, is as hard as most plastics, is very long lasting and doesn't seem to be subject to mould, bacterium collection and so on. Another advantage is that you can get it in many shapes and sizes. If you want the gravel/sand look take some spaghetti to the grinding stone
what does everyone else think?
I think it would be easier just to buy some sand or gravel! Sorry dudes but when I'm basing 20+ infantry models for my latest Warhammer regiment, I really don't want to have to hand grind all my sand as well! :blink:Originally Posted by Dodge

I see where you are coming from, but in saome cases the bit of manual labour is for financial benefit or actualy having anything at all. I only know of 1 store here in Dubai and havent been there yet but the store it effectively replaced hardly ever had stock and when they did they charged a hefty price for it. I also don't know of any other stores that would supply it. So for me the super market 200M down the road is easier. Besides I'm not anly talking about the sand, I mean some of the shaped pasta is brilliant for buildings, emplacements, etc.Originally Posted by Tzeentch Lord
You know, Cat litter is supposed to be fairly good too, or so I've heard.
A great way to aquire sand: run through a childrens park with loose shoes, then empty them when you get home! Just kidding, thats evil. You can always just break apart styrofoam into small pieces, it gives a good image of small rocks.
