How do you model things like the Squiggorth that GW doesn't make a model for?
Everything I have told you, even this, is a lie.
Well, you can either spend your first-born child on forge world things (if they make one) or you can make your own. I believe for models GW doesnt make, tournaments will allow you to use homemade ones, as long as they have as much representatino as possible of what they are, are size appropriate, etc.

The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

Of course, you could be in the same boat as me: back when GW didn't make an Exorcist, I made my own, using a chassis of a 1/48th scale Bradley AFV. Perfectly legal at the time, but now illegal in GW tournies because its not a GW product. I actually haven't had any problem yet, but if anyone ever gives me grief because of it, I'll say it was legal when I built it.
I doubt this was ever a "legal" model as it is not based off a GW model. If you used a Rhino or some other GW tank as your starting point you would be fine in any version.Originally Posted by Blue Meanie
The general rule is if you start with a GW model nobody typically has a problem with it unless you go crazy. Once they come out with an "official" model you'll be expected to be close enough so people can recognize it as what it is.
I do not criticize. I do not offend. All I offer is my opinion which means only as much as you make it.

acctualy, anything that GW doesnt make a model for,FW makes it :
the squight(what its name),the titan,thunderhawk gunship,venerable dreds,many versions of exicting tanks,some new models,etc...
the big problem is,like said before,it costs a kings fortune(damn forgewolrd, making the models so cool, and making it cost too much... *grumbles off* )
A buddy of mine made two really cool squiggoths out of a toy hippopatamus and a toy dinosaur. He even made cool howdahs on their backs to carry troops from scratch. Then GW posted a rules update disallowing Squiggoths as a transport.
What a drag.
