Has anyone got any ideas for a base on my necron destroyer lord that you think would look cool and would be reasonably simple to do?
ive wanted to change it for a long time
Thanks in Advance
Sand and blasted debris?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
You can do Necron crystals pretty easily. I like to take inch long pieces from the Plastic mold frames and slice off two of the corners (the long way). This leaves you with hexgon shaped rods. At one end, cut at an angle from from each of the sides leaving a hexagon point. Glue them together in bunches, pointing up at different angles. Paint them black, then dry brush with Scorpion Green. Instant crystal formations.
Emerging from the ground is tried and true, just cut away some of the legs, make his arm bent to appear as if he is pushing out, and add some sand/ dirt/ flock/ whatever you are using on him. There is a good article in WD314 on how to convert Necrons emerging from the ground. Other than that, if it is a Flayer, you could add a Guardsman with some skin missing on the ground, or Scarabs swarming over some corpses. There are lots of creative things for Necrons you can do.

For my necron destroyer lord with resurrection orb, I placed dead necrons here and there on the base all in the process of "getting up". Works very nicely.
