Well the buggers still need a name and I still need to have a faster way of painting them - I estimate these took about 60 hours all in!!
However - here's some pics, click them for big ok? I've started with my fav shot then a few more to show how they look en-masse.
There's a few things to add - the infinity symbol in white on the blue shoulder + some company markings and one or two touch ups - however - I got bloody fed up with doing these earlier and I just wanted to put the buggers on the web
The white *isn't* so washed out in real life - it is shaded but the cam doesn't pick it up as well as it could - I much prefer real subtle shading to the extreme things you see sometimes.
Anyway - Enjoy! :ninja:
I am sure your whites are done in an as high standard as your Blues. I really like how the helmets have the colour scheme vice versa.
Some Details I found worth mentioning:
Marine carrying two bolters.
The details of the wires and chips inside the Damaged Armour from the Missile Launcher Marine.
The text and never-ending logo on the banner.
The detail on the televison, unbelievable, did you model it yourself
Thing which I think could be improved:
The yellow on the rockets on the Rocket Launcher. It could be the picture, but it's just off. I suggest painting the tip of the rocket the same way you painted the muzzle of the plasma gun.
those are some mighty fine looking models. i like the colour scheme and your painting looks crisp and well done
Looks good but the damage on the ml guy seems a bit much, and the rest of the squad is unscathed??? I like the blue its nice and crisp. Maybe some blackling in the white?
VERY clean paint job. I like them a lot! I'd say that the basing could be better, but I'm not one to talk. Great job with the blue, but the white needs a bit more shading. The banner is very cool, spartan but appropriate.
Overall, very neat army, and very unique. Just touch up the white some...Maybe a wash with thinned light blue ink?

Marion: You're not the man I knew ten years ago.
Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
For the last time, there are
NO FEMALE SPACE MARINES!!!!!
Overall these are some nice marines but the white is much too flat. Looking closely I can see the hint of shading, space wolf grey for a guess, and just lacks definition. Actually truth be told I was not sure they were properly painted on that half.
I would go back and add some watered down fortress grey into the recesses and such, add some shading and make the white stand out a bit more. Though personally I would not go up to pure white as you cannot highlight it, a mix of white and light grey can get the right effect and allow highlights.
The conversions are nice but the two weapons on some are a bit impractical (rules wise, mainly). I like some adds some personallity to the unit but somethings do not work for me; the missile launcher for one. Why is he the only one in the squad to have bullet holes in his armour? And then all on one side. I would have given them to all the squad or none at all.
Thanks all - I really appreciate any feedback I can get as very few people (Well until I have an army I can't game!!) Get to see them in real life
Biggest point is about the shading of the white I feel - although it sounds weak - it's honestly the cam that is washing a lot of the shading out. The darkest part *is* space wolf grey, but when looking at the colour, codex grey just seemed too dark for what I wanted, I really prefer the subtler less extreme shading. That said the codex grey would have given them more definition from a greater distance - priorities priorities - I don't know which benefit is the best to paint too !!
The bases are weak - I was fed up so it's paint em with glue and dip em in flock..... And last off for criticisms (as I say, I like em) the bullet damage on the missile marine - I *did* get a little carried away that's true... ran into problems making it look proper 'scorched' as it were as well - maybe next time...
Glad you dug the scheme itself though - I'm happy with it and I'm not going to change it significantly now - I'm about to move onto a landspeeder so I may try using darker shading of the white - will have to see how it looks. I'm also hoping the marines will look better with the chapter markings and company markings slapped on in all the right places + some extra klittle bits n bobs I can think of. These guys felt like a stone round my neck and I just *had* to get them out of the way
Any more comments keep em coming - thanks again
