Hi, After seeing the Pirates of the Carribean for what, the third time? Anyway, I've been thinking about this for a while, (cause my funds are kind of limited) but I've decided as a project for my next army to do latd based on zombie pirates. I'm going to use the zombie sprue, but do you know any good pirate peices that I could use? And what would I model a chaos marine squad as? Thanks in advance! <
The Mordheim sprues have quite a few pirate pieces; cutlass, pirate heads, jackets, etc. The only problem is you'll have to buy the whole sprue.
I have no idea how you'd make SM look like modern pirates other than going with a black and white/skull and crossed bones paint job. Adding gold chains and jewels for trophies (similar the the Space Wolf necklaces) would help to add to the 'looter' look. You could replace the normal CCW with a cutlass, but you'll have to buy a lot of them or make your own. The Mordheim heads are OK for a sergeant without a helmet, but they tend to be a little small.
The WFB Empire militia regiment box also has lots of "piraty" pieces
'But for corruption thou hast made Belial, an angel of hostility. All his dominions are in darkness, and his purpose is to bring about wickedness and guilt. All the spirits that are associated with him are but angels of destruction.
