Build a fortress? Like if you have seen Lord of the Rings, I would prefer a fortress like Helms Deep, but any fortress would be fine that you may picture and army defending to the death. If you have sites where I can find that information, that would be appreciated. Thanks for helping if you can.
This is everything GW have for sale on the subject of 'Siege' for Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
The Fortress set may be what you are looking for, though it's not quite as dramatic as Helms Deep.
To make a Helms deep type Fortress, I'd be tempted to make it as a big terrain piece to go on one side of the board. Using Pink foam stuff, make a high corner on one side of the board, base your fortress here. Then place those wall pieces around it. Then model a fortress into the side of the big lump of foam.
Thats quite adventurous though and would take a lot of time For a simple Fortress GW has the basics. Other miniature games may have similar or more extravagant types.
ive been thinking about doing this for a while- getting elements from the Warhammer fortress would be a good start (especially the gate section and some towers) if your going for a helms deep type fortress then you need to model a cliff face for it to be attached to. If you have a look in the Generals Compendium there are some ideas on building fortresses and watchtowers as well as new rules governing this type of battle
