Alright, so me and my friend have made a 5x4 board for Warhammer. It is a swamp world, and the fluff behind it is that the Eldar abandoned it a while ago and it has turned into the swamp world it is now. So what should we name it, and what type of scenery would we put on it?
So far, our campaign has the Dark Eldar and the Tau looking for and ancient secret (A crystal that is found within an old Eldar Fortress, made from the green thing found on a Necron Monolith).
We have figured out the Last battle will be either the Dark Eldar or the Tau defending the fortress just as the Dark Eldar or Tau find the crystal within. So what other thing should we put on, and whats a good name for the plant (sorry for asking again).
GW has a few articles about it, here and here, but nothing really useful. They did have an article in the UK WD about fighting in swamps though, complete with terrain, so if you can get your hands on that it might be a help.
Chapter Approved Battle Zone: Swamp Worlds
Swamps are a deadly battleground, almost as dangerous to your army as the foe. We present rules and modelling tips for how to represent this new environment in your games.
How about a wrecked eldar titan covered in plant growth and/or a webway gate.

remember that eldar scenery before the fall would have been very similar to the high elf scenery so the basis of your fortress should be gracefull but also full of ruined walls both in and surrounding the fortress.
these ruins should be covered in foliage, so go to a pet store and get some grass that is supposed to go in fish tanks this makes very convincing creeper vines,
you can also if strapped for cash, heat up some sprue till its soft then pull it into thin strips this has the bonus that you can bend it over the edges of the terrain quite easily
