Classic Terminator Librarian
Okay, I'm doing this on a budget and need to convert one of my librarian in term armor to a chaplain and i'm curious which of my librarians I should convert. Admittedly I'm new to space marines and not absolutely certain what I need precisely to convert to a term chaplain. I plan to outfit him with LC's and an adamantium Mantle. Below are the two bodies I have to convert. the pics are Kind of bad, one is an older Librarian in term armor, the other I believe is a Deathwing Librarian.
What would you recommend for a weapon set up? The chaplain will be accompanying an Assault Terminator squad in a LRC
**Edit** Typed Assault Squad should have been Assault Termies

Don't chapy's already come with basic PW's?, it might be good enough to stick with the PW and some shooting weapons, or other weapon for extra cc attack (don't forget furious charge to help out with the wounding and ini).Originally Posted by jmeis982

Would you recommend a second PW or just a CCW, I cant give him furious charge as far as I can tell from CM. Sorry i mis-typed my post that should read, Assault Terminator Squad
Also Any suggestions on how to model Adamantium Mantle while in terminator armor?
The first one's actually a captain from around 1990, good model though - no reason not to use him. Can't see the other one though :/ The proper original term librarian is prtetty sweet, had a v good psycic hood on hiim and a full helmet. Can't find a pic but check ebay \o/
I would just run him with his crozius, which he comes with for free, and a pistol. that way characters can get the extra attack for one handed weapons, which normal termies cannot. there will be enough lightning claws, thunder hammers and/or powerfists in your squad that you don't want to waste the chappies initiative 5 on a powerfist. Not worth it.
Adamantine mantle is fine, but don't forget the termie armour comes with a5+ invunerable.
Beware the Agapanthers!
Codex Astartes: More a guideline than a rule...
weaponry, I say:
Master of Sanctity with
Crozium Arcanum (cost-included powerweapon)
Chainfist (for beating the **** out off monstrous creatures and dreads, and if against vehicles, why not pay the last 5 points for another d6 at penetrating armour)
admantium mantle (because YOU want one, and to max out effect of Powerfist)
Terminator Armour (cool stuff)
Rosarius (free 4+ invurnable safe)
Okay I just want to make sure that if i use this...i use it correctly with the chainfist corzium combo, each assault at the beginning of the assault phase (or his attack phase) I choose which special weapon rule i will use correct? Either the Double Str Strikes at I1 Chainfist or the I5 Crozium Power Weapon?
Unless they have true grit i dont think anything wearing termie armour can get an extra attack in CC with a ranged weapon. Storm bolters are 2 handed, as are combi bolters.
IF you want total melee pawnage, go with the free crozius and chainfist as suggested by the above posters. Assault termies dont really need ranged weapons and yous hould be supporting them with something very shooty anyhow. Like an LRC
