I stink at making scenery so i would like to know of some places to buy senery or websites. I already know of game-workshop. Or if there are some easy to do but good looking tricks.
like this one: games worshop
TerraGenesis has a cool tutorial on making cardboard ruins. Quick and easy to make and very effective on the battle field.
Also check the rest of the site for sweet buildings / warp gates etc.
These guys have some really cool stuff:
Try your local pet store or on-line for aquarium pieces. They're inexpensive resin pieces and look cool.
Also try Verlinden (I get mine from Home Town Hobbies on line)
any hobby shop or model train shop will carry cheap (compared to gw prices) scenery, which may or may not be to scale, but its always good to look, you can get barrels at some and you can buy plastic "angle" to make tank barricades as shown on terragenesis

I have heard pet stores are good. You can get the stuff to decorate fish tanks. I have some rocks from there work well, look good, dont know how much they cost i didnt but them
my bad wolf raider i didnt read your post
terragenesis is probably one of the best sites to make terrain. just make your own for a couple of bucks. thats what i did now i have an entire imperial emplacement set up
Arcangel: Well even if your skills at making scenery are borderline suck, it just takes practice, think about it this way, when you first started painting did you get them anywhere close to the ones in the books ? No, but with practice you can make your own scenery, it just takes patience and practice. If you need help with scenery definately try terragenisis, they're great.
Also what kind of scenery are you looking for, maybe I can help, or check out my found materials list to get some ideas and instructions.
You can't move the furniture anymore
And I'm not gonna trip and fall
