I just wanted to get the expert's opinion on what paints mixed in which proportions would yield results closest to the paint scheme shown in the latest issue of WD (317 in UK) for the Vostroyan tanks and sentinels. They seem to be slightly more yellow than rotting flesh and slightly greyer than bleached bone - but maybe a mix of these might do the job?
Thanks for your suggestions.
a gw manager suggested to me that the final highlight was kommando khaki (i think that he might've said basecoat was a mix of catachan green/k. khaki, but that doesn't seem right. maybe, codex grey/k. khaki). i, too, think that's a fine, fine color scheme. now if only i could sell all my cadian stuff to buy vostroyons...
in any case, hope this helps.
Yeah, Kommando Khaki seems fairly close. I might experiment with a codex grey/k. khaki base and see how things go. It's an unusual scheme but I love it, and it goes so well with the red/gold of the Firstborn, rather than having more red/gold tanks.
