Welcome to Librarium Online!
well, i was making a land speeder panther conversion (found at dropship40k.com) when i realised that the doors could flip up & down. since one side of my LS is taken up by a hardpoint i can't use this idea just yet but why not use the doors as opening missle bays like on modern stealth helicopters (& planes). getting rid of anything bulky like the bumper and the underslung sensor should help slim it down to look 'stealthier'. if you wanted, which is probly what i'll do is buy a small motor and connect fishing wire to it and the doors to make them remote-controlled. waddaya think? :ninja:
That sounds really sweet. When your done I would love to see the pictures, or if you can a little movie of it opening and closing. If you can't be bothered with the remote control stuff, then it would be alot easier to just have a magnet to keep the doors closed and then fishing line to let them only open an appropriate distance. Although I find the idea cool though, I do find it difficult to imagine a stealth land speeder. They fly at about a million miles an hour, with great big turbine engine on the back propelling them with a roar like a thousand bears, maybe if you gave them mufflers?
"Even when they have digital readouts, I can't understand them."
