Welcome to Librarium Online!
alright so at games day baltimore i bought a couple of heads, an ork power klaw and a daemon hammer, $6 worth of bitz right..... well guess what?
i got a freakin' hive tyrant as a gift!!!:w00t:
however its an old last edition one and i dont like its pose, makes it look sorta stupid, ya know?
so im wondering what kinda cool pose i should put it in, i'm juggling an assaulty tyrant or shooty tyrant whats the best kinda pose for either
(> >) * * bunny has ninja stars
an assualt tyrant looks great if you give it four scything talons and wings,
good luck pinning th head though (bad memories *sudders*)
WELL SAID, NO MORE SQUATS THEY ARE DEAD GET OVER ITOriginally Posted by artificer
The old Hive tyrant can be made to crawl on it's belly.
What I mean is that I also am right now converting an old Tyrant.
What I want is a shooty Tyrant with two Devourers. Think scorpion. I have started by having the body in a position like it's crawling on the ground. It's ribcage close to the ground. It's tail was attached and the end cut off then I added a twinlinked Devourer made from three plastic Devourers stuck together.
This has been done in the position of a scorpions sting (alot of my Tyranids are scorpion based conversions. Scorpions are cool but unfortunately don't live in my part of the world).
Anyway two more Devourers were placed on it's back like a pair of cannons on a comand and control/bio tank, scorpions look like tanks.
The head as you know has ridges going back from the front and spreading out in a fan shape like the Alien Queen in the film Aliens.
Now I cut off the last two of these ridges and glued and pinned it into place in a position sticking straight out infront of it.
If it wasn't being modelled to resemble a scorpion with it's body close to the ground and was standing up normally it would be staring straight up into the sky.
There are plenty of gaps here and I have since filled them in with green stuff and created a kind of new neck for it because it's neck and head can no longer connect properly.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do for it's legs.
I've been thinking about spare Warrior arms converted with spiky stumps for feet but I'm not sure.
Anyway I hope this helps you out, I would show you some pictures but I'm still learning how to use a digital camera properly.
