I am well under way with my Chaos Marine army which is being created around a spider theme and wondered if anyone knew of anyones armies with a similar theme?
I will be putting piccys up of mine soon (when camera is fixed)
Yes, my good friend has a spider themed (nurgley/undivided) army. He used alot of plastic toy spiders (had legs coming of the aspiring champs and such.) and loads of cob webs made from a special wash detergent.
His leader had speed and was half shelob half typhus
Ive seen a similar theme, now with shelob and new necromancer LOTR spiders, it wont be that hard!
The gold grey knight man. These are hardy men who like cheese.
Ever thought of how cheese was found?:
`` I say sah, the milk in this barrel smells foul!``
``Oooohhh, give it a go!``
''Quack, damn you!''

Or you can wait for the new goblin spider riders for the warhammer fantasy coming out soon... you can easily chop off the head and green stuff a body, thought i'm not sure how big the spider compared to the body of a chaos space marine..
"DID WE JUST SIGN UP FOR A SUICIDE MISSION, RICO?" "YEAH WE JUST DID, WHEN WE ENLISTED" LOVE THE IMPERIAL GUARD, JOIN TODAY!!
I was thinking of something a little more involved!
Lots of green stuff and time rather than using LOTR spiders
I have my Daemon Prince who is a Centaur style spider marine using the old Warhammer giant spider and a marine upper body, I have also started my possessed who have pre heresy armour to show they have served the Chaos gods and earned there mutations which are Spiders legs coming out of there backs and round facing forward (very evil looking too) the legs are made from tooth picks.
I will be putting piccys up shortly but just wanted ideas if anyone had any links or pics of an existing army with this theme?
Have you seen the scorpion-converted Defiler in the 4th ed. rulebook? I've thought about a spider-like version of that. Mostly it's be in removing the arms and posistioning the legs so that the main body is below the apex of the legs (you may need to lengthen the legs for that). You could even combine two to create a defiler with a cephalothorax and head, with the cannon mounted either in the head or underslung.
Alas, I don't have a defiler on hand, so I can't tell exactly how it would (or could) be done.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
Have the Cannon at the end of the spider like where web should come out at. I think its the Thorax
Great ideas guys!
I was thinking along them lines but also adapting the theme on my Dreadnaughts too, like little defilers!
