Welcome to Librarium Online!
first off, sorry if this is in the wrong forum... i'm trying to improve my pictures, and i was hoping for feedback. i used a tripod, a 10-second delay feature, and two blue-bulb light sources. the picture still seems a little blurry. what's the best way to improve that? thanks for your help.
Maybe your lights are too far away. I did notice some shadow coming from your figures. I have been told a good way to do the lights is to have one set above and behind the figures and another one set to below and to the front of the figures. I myself use 2 lights and have been thinking of going to 3 lights. I use currently 2 100W shop lamps. Very hot and not something you want to keep around plastic figures for more than short periods of time but very bright.
My current set up is a light above and behind the figure and one to the left of the figure in the front coming from below. I was thinking of adding another one to the right and below the figure as well.
Other than that I don't think your pictures are that bad - looks more like a lighting issue as in there is a bit too much shadow on the pictures for the camera to focus properly on. Otherwise I am sure you camera can take pictures in macro (from the looks of it) and from what i understand megapixels really don't make too much difference.
Another thing I noticed is the white balance seems to be off. You might want to color correct it in your photo editing software - such as photoshop. Too much red.

thanks for the tips, Slorak. i'll give try them out. by the way, what do you guys think of the models?
Not bad at all. They look good. The red striping on the one cloak is a tad messy but nothing big deal. Overall nicely detailed group of figures.
If you've got white balance (either in camera or with photoshop etc) you might want to play around with it a bit. The pic looks a touch yellow to me.
Nice minis though really like the banner
