I'm planning on having some leaping tyranid warriors in my army, but I'm not quite sure how to model them. I thought prehaps a zoanthrope's tail, then maybe cut the legs off the normal body of the warrior (lower part) and stick them onto the zoanthrope's tail, then stick the rest of the body in a cool position on top, and use green stuff to fill in any gaps. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys.
I also found this when searching for inspiration:
erm... i cant seem to get it to the right page but if you go on elites then leaping tyranid warriors it should be there.

i would say you dont have to show it. its an ability not a piece of wargear. i mean librarians dont "show" what powers they have so i say model it if you want to but you dont have to

Maybe just have it so it looks like the model is jumping off something?
It is a biomorph and you should show it. The way I did mine was to cut the legs at the knee joint and use green stuff to have one leg bending straighter and the other one bent more. I also repositioned the hooves some. Others I just put in leaping positions like they were pouncing on something or in the air.I see nothing wrong with what your planning but it would be very expensive if your having very many warriors. The way I did it is cheap and only requires some greenstuff.

Not really that hard; the green stuff work is really just a case of pushing in a little wedge and then pressing some lines in it. Personally I really find warriors great fun to convert. Next one will be coming down on a guardsmen (though I suppose that may necessitate me buying some guardsmen).
Well. you should show it, a biomorph should be shown, just have elevated ground like a rock or some thign then model it so it looks liek ti is jumping of of it, glue the tail to the rock and have the legs swaying into or out of the direction you want it to face when jumping.
The gold grey knight man. These are hardy men who like cheese.
Ever thought of how cheese was found?:
`` I say sah, the milk in this barrel smells foul!``
``Oooohhh, give it a go!``
''Quack, damn you!''

what about using a plastic stand like on flying models?
could easily drill the hole in the bottom, and have the model angled downwards at roughly a 20-30 degree angle with claws spread like it's leaping onto the enemy when it comes into base contact.
obviously don't do the same thing for all your warriors, try a mix of ground leap and sky leap positions.
